Austin Jaquith is a composer of wide ranging experience spanning concert and film music. His concert music has been performed by ensembles such as the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mirari Brass Quintet, and the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestra. His concert music was also recognized this past year by the Ohio Music Teachers Association which selected him as Composer of the Year for 2015. As a composer of film music, he recently completed the score to Adrift by Barbara Sundstrom, and will be composing for two upcoming feature films, Nathan VonMinden’s Project Pearl and Douglas Maddox’s Christmas Ranch. In addition to working on these films, he is also collaborating with the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance in a new production of Dracula as both a composer and orchestrator. An educator as well as a composer, Mr. Jaquith keeps an active teaching schedule at Cedarville University where he is an Associate Professor of Theory and Composition.
